Hebridean Explorer is a 50ft
fibre glass ex-survey vessel built in 1988 in
the UK and fitted out in Italy. She has been
delivered from the Mediterrean to Tobermory. She
has undergone a full survey and refit and is a
British registered commercial vessel. Hebridean
Explorer has the benefit of twin Mercedes
engines and all the latest technology,
navigation and safety equipment. Considering her
size and deck area, she could accommodate twice
as many passengers, but our aim is to provide a
comfortable and enjoyable experience for each
passenger so there is plenty of space to walk
around and enjoy the cruise.
Hebridean Explorer is
skippered by Grant Carmichael, who holds a
British professional Boat Masters Licence. He is
Tobermory born and bred and has an intimate
knowledge of the local area, having worked
previously for many years operating vessels in
the Sound of Mull on aquaculture work. He is
supported by a dedicated Wildlife Guide who will
be able to help you with any questions you may
have on the local geography and wildlife.
